Amr Ibn Al'Aas: Oh prophet of Allah, who is dearest to you?

 Amr ibn al-?Aas once wanted to know how much the Prophet PBUH loved him. So when he was appointed as the commander of army of Dhaat al-Salaasil (chains), he went to the Prophet PBUH and said, ?Which of the people is dearest to you?? He said, ? ?Aa?ishah.? I said, ?Who among men?? He said, ?Her father (Abu Bakr)? I said, ?Then who?? He said, ?Then ?Umar ibn al-Khattaab,? and he mentioned some other men..
After the Prophet PBUH named a few other names he asked him to stop as he knew he wasn't among them.
