Topic: Money vs. Islam
Money vs. Islam Narrated by Imam Ahmed Abu Talha was the wealthiest Ansari in Medinah. His most precious possession was a very beautiful garden called ?Bayrahaa?? that faced the masjid. The Prophet (pbuh) used to always drink from a spring of cool clear water in the garden..

When the Qur'anic verse By no means shall ye
Attain righteousness unless
Ye give (freely) of that
Which ye love: and whatever
Ye give,
Allah knoweth it well.

Āl Imrān, 92. was revealed, Abu Talha went to the Prophet (pbuh) and said: ?O Prophet! Allah (swt) says ?By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love,? and my most loved possession is ?Bayrahaa?? and it is from now charity for the cause of Allah. By it, I wish Allah?s rewards so dispense of it as you see fit.? The Prophet (pbuh) replied, ?Bakhin Bakhin*. That is profitable money, that is profitable money. I have heard what you said and I advise that you divide it among your close relatives.?** ?I shall O Prophet of Allah.? And Abu Talha divided his beloved garden ?Bayrahaa?? among his needy relatives and cousins.

*An Arabic expression meaning ?So great, so wonderful.?
**Here the wisdom of the Prophet (pbuh) is quite evident. His advice to divide the garden amongst relatives is meant to please the donor on one hand and protect him from possible future regrets when he sees a total stranger in possession of his dearest property.
